A striking pair of antique Victorian brass candlesticks featuring the distinctive Beehive & Diamond pattern, a traditional English design associated with late 19th-century brassware.
Dating to approximately 1880–1895, the pair combines faceted diamond-shaped knops with ribbed beehive details, turned baluster forms and substantial clipped-corner square bases. Their tall proportions and graduated 11 and 12 inch heights create an especially handsome silhouette when displayed together.
Each candlestick retains its original-style push-up ejector rod, an ingenious period feature used to raise the remaining candle from the socket. The warm brass surfaces show natural variation and patina developed through more than a century of age, adding considerably to their character.
One candlestick also retains an old handwritten fabric label. Its original purpose and writing have not been definitively identified, but it forms an interesting part of the pair's surviving history and has been left intact.
