A vintage ivory Alacite glass lamp base attributed to the Aladdin Mantle Lamp Company’s Model G-186 electric table lamp.
Introduced in 1939, the G-186 featured an ovate, acorn-like form covered in deeply molded oak leaves, stems, and vines. The integrated pierced scroll base was designed to allow light from an interior candelabra bulb to glow through, creating an illuminated night-light effect beneath the main lamp.
This example retains the sculptural Alacite glass body only. The original electrical fittings, internal socket, upper hardware, and shade are no longer present. It is best suited to a knowledgeable lamp restorer, collector of Aladdin lighting, or decorative display.
